This course series is made up of six courses and a total of 30 short videos to walk you through the screencasting creation process. As you go through the course it will take you through a workflow and process of how we build screencast videos at TechSmith. This course looks at each step in the process. It is not a course about using TechSmith Camtasia, as the concepts will apply to almost any tool you're using to create screen videos. 

Throughout this course you'll learn about the steps to prepare to make an effective video. We'll walk you through the process for recording audio and making sure you and your webcam video looks its best. The course digs into how to set up your screen and subject for recording. It will also look at the process for editing - not just what you should edit - but in what order to edit so that you don't have to redo work and make unnecessary changes. Finally, the course series ends with how your video is performing and if it is accomplishing the outcomes and objectives you set for it. 

The course is focused on beginners and those new to the screencasting process, but there are a lot of tips and ideas presented to help those with more experience as well.
